Two headed Moose Johnson rears ugly head

Sirius Sat radio host  host Daryl (Moose) Johnston has ripped the Dallas  Cowboys - for signing Tank Johnson. In the process, he also blasted his old boss, Dallas owner Jerry Jones and stated former Cowboy wide out Micheal Irvin incidents while a member of the Cowboys did not involve violence and therefor the Cowboys were justified in keeping Irvin.

"I think Jerry Jones made a huge mistake," said Johnston, who spent 11 seasons with the Cowboys. "This is just about doing anything you can to win a championship, which is fine when you do it with integrity and ethics. And this decision lacks integrity and it lacks ethics."

Tank Johnson who was released by the Chicago Bears, because of embarrassment  he caused over his legal troubles was waived three days after he was pulled over by police in Arizona. He already had been suspended for the first eight games of the 2007 season for violating probation on a gun charge. He spent two months in jail and was released in May.  When nose tackle Jason Ferguson was lost for the season in Week 1 with an injury, the Cowboys' need at Johnson's position became acute. Jeremiah Ratliff,  is a converted defensive end that struggled against the run.

The Warrior feels Moose suffers from long term memory loss and  fails to recall a violent incident in 1998 when a young Cowboy, Everett McIver, was set to get a hair cut.  Irvin showed up and demanded his veteran's right to go before him.  The players started fighting and Irvin grabbed the clippers to cut  McIvor off. Pushes were exchanged Irvin grapped  some scissors, and cut McIvor.

This violent incident was covered up by the Cowboys and must have slipped the memory of both sides of the mouth that Johnson speaks from. Warrior suggests that "Moose" stop his quest to be like Tiki Barber and just start reporting the facts. Last time I checked no team was clamoring for Johnson approval on any signing.

Maybe the Moose should check himself before he starts spouting off against his former team.

Moose Johnston is,like other former players, somehow under the impression that they have a valued opinion. There are plenty of Cowboy fans nationwide having water cooler discussions after last nights beating from the Patriots over how the failure to sign Randy Moss cost them the game last night. And we all know what kind of a cancer Mr. Moss was to the league prior to signing with a team who is much bigger than him. Tank Johnson has made some very stupid decisions since rising to near-millionare status in the NFL, but it appears that because he also played for a team who will not tolerate that behavior that the loss of a job along with the public embarrasment should have put him in check.Let the bastard play.
